Many years ago I bought a kitten from a pet shop. She was supposed to be a Ragdoll but of course she wasn’t! But I fell in love with her anyway.
We then contacted a registered breeder to purchase a “real” Ragdoll!
The experience of owning a cat – something I had never done before- was something I loved! It gave me such joy. So why did I want to breed? The ‘correct’ answer is to preserve the breed and that’s part of it but I also wanted to become a small part in the chain of love that brings a kitten to their new owners.
I wanted to be able offer this amazing breed to people so they too could welcome a Ragdoll into their lives. I wanted to breed a kitten that they could have become a part of their family to be loved and give much love in return.
People should be able to get the breed they want from a breeder that puts their chosen breed first. Someone that researches and learns all the unique characteristics for that breed – including health and temperament. Someone that takes the breeding of kittens seriously – not just put a boy and a girl cat together! They use the resources available to them in all areas to breed kittens of exceptional babies and place those babies in exceptional forever homes.
Breeding helps me to help others have what they want. To choose the perfect kitten to come home with them – plus I like cute fluffy kittens!
